This week in campaign politics saw Vice-President Joe Biden getting angry at Republicans and Mitt Romney for their failure to understand the middle class : “I resent when they talk about families like mine that I grew up in. I resent the fact that they think we’re talking about envy: it’s job envy, it’s wealthy envy; that we don’t dream.”
Meanwhile, in a seeming reversal of his earlier campaign style, Mitt Romney declared that he did not want to run a campaign based on “character assassination.” To illustrate the claim he then repudiated efforts by a conservative super PAC to remind voters about President Obama’s connections to controversial pastor Reverend Wright.
