“The (Obama) policy is to look at everything.  He actually put nuclear power plants – to my chagrin – on the table.” _ Ellis Henican

Gas prices are over $4 a gallon. Everyone is feeling that pain.

But, at a hearing this week, when Rep. Alan Nunnelee specifically asked Energy Secretary Steven Chu if  “the overall goal” of the administration is to “get our price down”  – Chu’s answer was no. Chu stated that the overall goal of the Obama administration is not to get prices down; the overall goal is “to decrease our dependency on oil.”

At least that’s what he said until President Obama – his boss – reminded him that gas prices are a very real concern.
