ANOTHER VICTIM OF THE OBAMA (YES…OBAMA) DEPORTATION POLICY

“The stream of deportations under the Obama administration is considerably higher than in the Bush years – and that makes no sense at all.” – Ellis Henican

The case of Jakadrien Turner – a fourteen year old Texas teenage runaway deported to Colombia in May of last year after giving a false name to Dallas police – has focused attention on the issue of Immigration and Deportation.

Family members said immigration officials can say all they want, but ultimately they deported a teenaged U.S. citizen who doesn’t even speak Spanish to Colombia, where she knows no one.

“She looks like a kid, she acts like a kid. How could they think she wasn’t a kid?”  asked the teen’s grandmother Lorene Turner.

The child was finally returned to her worried family in the United States on Friday, January 6th.

“I’m seeking a system of legal immigration so we don’t turn hard working people into criminals…We should put out—not the barbed wire, but—the welcome mat.” – Ellis Henican
